- Members: 2010 should prove to provide a unique and exciting experience as we embark on our joint meeting with
the ASQDE in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada from August 28 to September 2, 2010. The theme of the meeting is "A Century of Questioned Documents," which coincides with the 100th anniversary of Albert S. Osborn's "Questioned Documents" and will demonstrate how far the field has advanced and the new challenges yet to come. Download this flyer for more information.
- The SWAFDE Training Manual and the Constitution & Directives are posted on the Members page under "Official SWAFDE Documents."
- Thanks to Dave Moore for sharing this letter he received from The American Institute of Applied Science. The letter explains that their Questioned Documents course does not qualify one to become a Document Examiner and that the Institute does not certify Document Examiners.
- Members: The Annual Attendance & Participation Report is now just a Participation Report and is online only. The paper forms will no longer be mailed with the dues invoices. You can also find online forms to request a one-year meeting attendance extension or a two-year extension to upgrade from Associate to Active status.
- Guests: If you're looking for help on a case involving documents, we have a list of some private examiners. (Members: If you want to be on this list, please contact me and tell me exactly how you want your entry read.)
